When executing content marketing for your company or firm, it’s vital to avoid certain mistakes along the way – particularly if you’re trying to get buy-in from those inside your company. You want to develop a strong strategy (as we discussed last week) and you need to keep that strategy going with new quality content. For example, once you create a blog you cannot abandon it after a couple months. You will lose followers that you will never regain when you start updating the blog again.
Do not think you’re fooling your readers by trying to disguise your sales pitch under what you consider thought leadership. Your content must be authentic because readers will quickly learn if they are being pitched a service or educated with intelligent thought leadership.
